What a result actually tells you

A match doesn't automatically mean plagiarism. It means something very similar is already out there — worth a closer listen, not an automatic red flag. It can mean a shared stock sample, a repost, or a coincidence, as much as an actual collision.

A "no match" isn't an automatic green light either. This checks for full-track matches. Distributors like DistroKid also check for embedded sample/stem-level overlaps using a separate database — a "no match" here doesn't guarantee their stricter system will pass it too. We tell you this straight, not as fine print.
