ADS DIRECTOR

Build the post, check it against what actually gets throttled, and see exactly how it lands before you spend a penny boosting it.
01 Creator Card
Used to remind you to set Ads Manager's Language field to match — location targeting alone won't stop delivery drifting into countries that don't speak it.

06 Campaign Hints
BudgetSmall daily budgets (£1–£5/day) run longer for the same total spend and give the algorithm more days to find the right audience. Bigger, shorter bursts suit a release-week push.
ObjectiveIf the goal is streams/revenue, choose Traffic or Engagement pointed at your streaming link — not a video view objective, which optimizes for people watching, not clicking.
AudienceStart broad within a country and age range, with detailed targeting expanded, rather than narrowing too early — let delivery data tell you who's responding before you restrict further.
Boost vs Ads ManagerThe "Boost post" button is fast but limited. Ads Manager gives you real objective choices, better targeting, and clearer results — worth the extra two minutes once you're spending real budget.
Link destinationLink to a smart link or streaming page, not a plain YouTube video, if the goal is paid streams — YouTube ad-supported views pay far less than a Spotify/Apple Music play.
TimingLaunch the campaign the same day the post goes up — a boosted post with zero organic engagement yet tends to get judged more harshly by the algorithm than one with a few real likes/comments first.
Advantage+ audienceTurn off Advantage+ audience/detailed targeting expansion. It's allowed to deliver outside your set age, location, and language whenever it thinks it'll get cheap engagement — that's how a Romanian-language ad can end up shown in Congo. Set targeting manually instead.
Language targetingAlways set the Language field explicitly to match your ad's actual language (e.g. Romanian) — location targeting alone doesn't stop delivery drifting into countries where that language isn't spoken.
PlacementsUse manual placements, not Advantage+ placements. Uncheck Audience Network in particular — it's the placement most associated with junk clicks and bot-heavy traffic.
Check delivery earlyA day or two after launch, check the campaign's delivery breakdown by country and language in Ads Manager. Catching drift early means you can pause and fix targeting before real budget is wasted.
